Open the ring generator

Render, assembled: the elephant, platform and ring merged into a single ring.

In Morcano Studio you upload any STL and place it on the platform. The studio merges the ring, the platform and your object into a single watertight body, so it prints as one piece with no gluing and no manual cleanup. This feature is in beta.

How to put your own object on a ring

  1. Upload your STL

Drop in any STL. The studio checks the model.

  2. Place it on the platform

Adjust the platform: scale, height, rotation, bevel and shape.

  3. Let the studio merge it

Ring, platform and object become one watertight body.

  4. Export and print

Download 3MF or STL. 3MF lets you split the assembly into separate objects if you prefer.

Tip.Models you upload remain yours, and under the Terms you are responsible for holding the necessary rights, in particular before selling a ring that carries them.

Try it in the studio

The free plan gives 3 designs a month on each generator. Paid plans are on the plans page.

Questions

Do I need glue or assembly?

No. The studio merges ring, platform and object into one watertight body, so you print a single piece.

Which file can I upload?

An STL.

Will the merged ring print?

The merged body is checked like every other export: watertight geometry, a single shell and sufficient wall thickness.

Can I sell a ring that carries my model?

Models you upload remain yours. You must hold the rights to them, in particular before selling. The studio's own library models and the exported files cannot be resold.

Is this feature finished?

It is in beta. A first working version is released, with significant improvements to follow, guided by user feedback.

Licence

On the Free and Maker plans you may print your designs for yourself and as gifts, not for sale. Selling the printed pieces needs the Seller or Studio plan, which include the commercial licence and a licence certificate for each design. Pieces made during the free beta, before paid plans launched, may still be sold on the terms of that time. The exported files themselves can never be resold or redistributed, on any plan.
